This place is amazing! This was my first time there and I threw my company party there. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating! House manager Mackenzie helped make the evening perfect!
Our comedian for the night was fun and entertaining!
Wonderful experience!
We came tonight and saw Travis Tate and Arvin Mitchell. Great show!! I wish the tables were spread out still instead, but I know that theatre seating gets more people in the audience. My husband wants to come back at least once a year.
Excellent live comedy by long time professionals that will get you laughing a lot.. It is a live show so all phones must be turned off during the performance. Cost is about 10 dollars a person. We bought our tickets online.
We had a great in-person visit here! I would highly recommend for a date or even for your older kids. The snacks were nice and the comedians were really funny! Pricey but that's ok. I wish it was just a tad less expensive; I would go a lot more! Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and sights. We went to dinner, dessert, and walked back to our B&B all within about half a mile.
What's the deal with stand-up comedy, anyways? Have you ever noticed that people only laugh when everyone else is laughing? What do you get when you put a microphone on stage in Provo, Utah? A room full of comics! But seriously though folks, this place is incredible...it's gold, Jerry, gold!
We love it here. Every employee has been professional, kind, friendly- it’s very well organized. And the snacks were surprisingly good! I am so grateful to have a classy, fun comedy club in Utah. We drive from SLC and it is so worth it. If you haven’t given them a visit, please do. They also have an app, and it’s free! If you haven’t tried that- I recommend it asap. Who’s life isn’t better after some laughter. I’m sure my review sounds like I know them personally or something but nope!! I’m 100% pure customer/ big fan and total stranger. :) lol
One of the best shows in town! We attended a night that had 3 comedians and it was awesome! Shane Smith has always made me laugh so hard and seeing a show in person was great! I am super excited to see it released on the Angel Studios app!
Will be returning soon!
I’ve been to dry bar in the past and enjoyed it. Not this time.
We were told when to laugh. How loud to laugh. When to stand. When to clap. We were told we were not a good audience. We were told we forgot to stand. We were told we needed to laugh louder. Someone came on stage and made two of the comedians redo the last minute of their acts and then we were told we had to all stand up and clap and yell. Actual quote “I’m not kidding. You guys have to stand up and clap when the comedian is done.”
The way the show was presented completely “killed the mood.” A person does not feel like laughing when they are told how, when, why, and what. I’m sure the comedians felt the weird/ awkward atmosphere.
It felt like we were extras in a B-list movie. We should have gotten paid for being there. It is clear The live audience is the lowest of Dry Bar’s priorities.
I hope the streaming gig works out, but word will get around that the live shows aren’t fun anymore.
